As we all know, very few of us have the opportunity to see our book get published in our life time.

The reason for this is actually quite obvious, not too many of us are “writers”, and the cost to get a book published is through the roof. Even though a lot of us like to write but understand that we don’t write well enough for others to want to pay to read our work, and therefore choose not to go through with the entire publishing process.

So, how much does it actually cost to get a book published?

As some of you may already know, we are asking for a donation of $1499 USD to help you create and publish your picture book. I know 1499 USD may still seem to be a lot of money, but for those of you who aren’t familiar with the publishing costs,  you might be surprised to learn how much it actually cost to get a book published.

In the US, where our corporation is located, to get a publishing ISBN number would only cost you a few hundred dollars if you decide to publish it under your own name. If you were to self-publish your own book, which is what many new writers would choose to do,(even though it may appear a little funny having the publishing name as your own) it’s by far the most affordable and straight forward method in terms of getting your ISBN number. But the cost will start to build-up later down the line when you look for companies that provide proofreading, editing, and printing services (Usually 2-3 thousand dollars just to get it proofread and edited). And if you were to get it published under some publishing company, depending on the company reputation, the price would vary and often become overbearing.

In order to get a full-fledged picture book created and published in the US ( The exact service we are providing you). You would not expect to get it done for anything less than 5 thousand USD.

In China, where there are many restrictions. The publishing company would charge you a whopping 7-10 thousand USD for the following services. Proofreading, editing, a publishing number, and maybe say 100 copies of your book. (This is only for basic pure text paperback books up to 100 some pages long).

These are the publishing costs in the US and China, which are the two countries we are familiar with, and the price would obviously vary depending on the country you live in, but it never comes cheap by any means.

How are we able to keep our prices so low?

  1. Unlike most publishing companies, we work and operate as a non-profit organization. We try our best to keep our prices just enough for us to keep afloat and be able to make a small donation to the underprivileged children we are trying to help.
  2. A few of our founders used to work as editors so we don’t see the need to get compensated for our editing service.
  3. The artists we work with understand our purpose of creating these books, and therefore are willing to work at a much lower rate than what they usually would get compensated for.
  4. The Printing shop understand our cause and allows us to place extremely small orders compared to what they demand of other customers.

None of this would have been possible without all these people helping and supporting our cause!

Please take advantage of our low prices and services while they last, you won’t regret it!
